Tagged, Again!

I think I've been tagged before, but who am I to argue with the laws of tagging. But this time, I call no tag backs!

List: 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 random surprising facts about yourself.

3 Joys
1. eating
2. hanging out with my Matt and the cats
3. doing things for other people

3 Fears
1. being murdered, raped, or robbed
2. Matt getting hurt at work (in the last month 3 drivers have been killed and a couple injured...scary!)
3. heights from which I might not die on impact. Skydiving is not a big deal because I believe if my chute didn't open, I wouldn't feel a thing. However, fall from 20 feet and you'll survive, but be pretty beaten up.

3 Goals

1. find a new job!! I have a few good leads, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
2. read more often
3. be more patient

3 Current Obsessions/Collections
1. working out. I usually work out 60+ minutes a day, 5 days a week. I love it!
2. getting new stuff for the apartment and decorating it. This is a bad one because it can cost a lot of money to do.
3. I have OCD about keeping the apartment clean

3 Random Surprising Facts about Myself
1. I like the smell of coffee
2. I have an eating disorder. No, I'm not anorexic or bulimic, but I have disordered eating...therefore I have an eating disorder.
3. I don't like to eat meat off of a bone.

Our Night Out in Nature

As I said in my blog a few days ago, most nights Matt and I just stay in and watch t.v. and just hang out. So I was super excited when we both worked short days and went out on Saturday night. Matt had everything planned and kept it all a surprise for me.
Our first stop was our local Walmart store so that Matt could buy a digital camera he had his eye on. He said the camera would be a good idea for out activity, so I was starting to get very curious. It was somewhat obvious what we were going to do when we started driving up Big Cottonwood Canyon, but I didn't know the specifics.
We ended up going to Donut Falls to enjoy the hike. We had a great time, but unfortunately didn't make it all the way to the falls. It got to a point where you have to cross the river, and it would have been impossible to keep our feet dry. Since we didn't have any extra socks or shoes, and we could see the falls, we called it good and turned around.
The second part of our evening Matt had planned a weenie roast! We found a daytime picnic area on the way down the canyon and stopped in for a fun dinner. The picnic area was a little damp because of the runoff from the snow, but there's no problem with a little river running through our spot! Matt had everything planned out, he even had a special hot dog roaster. I'm usually not a fan of hot dogs (they were actually polskas, but it's all the same to me), but camping is one of the rare instances where I quite enjoy a hot dog. All in all it was a fun time and a blast to be out in nature!

Pictures for Our Night in Nature

It's HUGE!!!

We're stoked because we just got a new 50" Plasma HDTV today! It was love at first sight and after that there was no turning back! And thanks to Matt's parents we had a way to get it back to the apartment and didn't have to watch it in the Best Buy parking lot. Maybe people will actually come visit us now!

What Do You Think?

So it's pretty obvious that I changed the style of my blog (i.e. the template, font, arrangement of extras, etc)...and if it's not obvious, where have you been? I came home from work and was pretty bored, so I started messing around with it and well, what you see is what you get! At least for now. I have constant urges for change. Just a week or so ago I rearranged the living room (at least as much as I could without messing up the surround sound!) It was fun and I tried to be creative with the space, but it didn't look so good. Hopefully no one is thinking that same thing about my new blog style. Let me know what you think. If you like it, great! If not, don't worry, knowing me I'll be bored with it soon and change it in a few weeks.

I really shouldn't...

I've done it! I'm becoming one of those people! You know, those annoying people who blog when they have absolutely nothing to blog about. I try to keep up on everyone else's blog, and love when there is a new entry. But I feel that my life is so boring in comparison, that it makes it hard to blog.

Here's why I think my life is boring:
  • I have no exciting work stories. While I'm at work nothing happens and I don't talk to anyone. I mean it, for 8 hours out of almost every day, I don't speak a word. The only time my vocal cords get exercise is when I'm laughing at what is being discussed on the radio.
  • I've driven the same car since I turned 16. That's over 10 years! Don't get me wrong, I love the car, but there are so many that I would love so much more.
  • My evenings usually involve a reality tv show. My guilty pleasures, at least currently, are: The Batchelorette, A Shot at Love 2 with Tila Tequila, So You Think You Can Dance, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
  • I've dated the same guy, Matt, for over a year and a half. I'm not complaining about that, don't get me wrong. It just means that there is no anticipation/drama over if he'll call, when we'll go out next, if he likes me, etc. Then again, all that drama sucks, I guess I'm lucky to not have to deal with that.
  • I don't have any kids, so I can't post updates of their first word, crawl, steps, burps, etc. And I refuse to constantly blog about what the cats did that was funny or cute. I could do it, I swear it, but then I'd be the definition of a crazy cat lady.
I'm sure there are more reasons, but frankly, I got bored!

Decisions, Decisions

With gas prices being as high as they are ($3.99-4.09 around here) I'm very grateful that I have a scooter that gets 100 mpg. Today I filled it up (for the first time in three weeks) and it cost a whopping $4.50. Not to shabby huh? Well, despite all of the great things about it, I've been thinking a lot lately about selling it. Actually, upgrading it. I've been thinking about getting something a little more powerful so that I'm not run off the road by all the crazies out there. Some of the bikes I'm considering are the Kawasaki Ninja 250, a Honda Rebel, or the Buddy Pamplona Internation Scooter. I'm always eager to hear peoples opinions, so check them out and let me know what you could see me riding around town on. And, if anyone out there would be interested if I actually do decide to sell my scooter (2005 PGO My BuBu50, 100mpg, 1200 miles) let me know.
